Question:

100 Mr. Callely asked the Taoiseach the number of personnel within his Department who are on career breaks, job sharing or have other special arrangements. [22096/96]

There are five officers from the Department of the Taoiseach on career breaks. Of these, there are two higher executive officers, one media researcher, one clerical officer and one clerical assistant-typist.

In addition there is one executive officer on special leave without pay to accompany her husband who is working abroad.

One Assistant Secretary and four principal officers are on secondment to other Government Departments and organisations.

One clerical assistant/typist is on special leave to work with the European Union.

There are 12 officers job sharing at the Department of the Taoiseach as follows: two higher executive officers; two executive officers; five clerical officers; three clerical assistant/typists.
