Question:

111 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the total amount spent on the restoration works at Trim Castle, County Meath, which commenced under the current National Development Programme and were approved for European funding. [7364/97]

An amount of £3 million has been allocated to the Trim Castle project under the EU Operational Programme for Tourism, 1994-1999, of which 75 per cent is being funded by the EU. A sum of £1.175 million has been expended to 28 February, 1997.
