Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

139 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the urgency of providing extra facilities at the Patrician High School, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan; when it is proposed to proceed to the next stage of this development; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [11856/97]

My Department has approved in principle the provision of an extension at the Patrician High School, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan. This project is currently at stage 1, that is, site suitability, of the architectural planning process. Following examination of this documentation a planning briefing meeting will be arranged between officials of my Department and the school authorities.
