Vol. 478 No. 7

Written Answers - Departmental Funding.

Tony Gregory

Question:

82 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health the grant-aid made available to date to a centre (details supplied) in Dublin 7; if it is intended to continue this grant aid; and if the necessary support will be given to the centre to ensure its survival.[12192/97]

Limerick East): I presume the Deputy is referring to the current financial position of the Stanhope Centre.

I understand that the Eastern Health Board has now agreed with the Stanhope Centre the amount of grant aid necessary to enable it to maintain its services in 1997. The amount of the grant for 1997 is £216,000. It is the intention of the board to continue to support the services provided by the centre.
