77 Mr. Hogan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of staff recruited by her Department since taking office; the function and remuneration, including expenses, of each of these staff; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [22919/97]

*As I stated in my reply of 6 November 1997, my programme manager works under the aegis of the Department of the Taoiseach and is responsible to me.

As regards the salaries paid to the above, I refer the Deputy to my reply given to Questions Nos. 102 and 114 on 30 September 1997. Travelling and subsistence allowances are paid subject to the regulations appropriate to civil servants.
