Vol. 486 No. 3

Written Answers. - Dental Services.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

177 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have arrangements made for dental treatment to be provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who has been told she cannot have the treatment as she is over 35 year of age despite the fact that she is a medical card holder. [2506/98]

As the provision of dental treatment to eligible persons in Dublin 12 is the statutory responsibility of the Eastern Health Board I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
