Vol. 514 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

91 Mrs. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kerry who is suffering with cancer has been waiting three weeks for a bed at the Cork University Hospital; and when he will be admitted. [3861/00]

The provision of hospital services in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the Southern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Southern Health Board to investigate this matter and reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
