493 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Finance the total number of civil servants who are currently on the transfer list to other sections of Departments outside Dublin; the locations and numbers involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1990/01]
The following schedule gives the numbers by location of civil servants currently on the transfer lists operated by the Revenue Commissioners and the Office of Public Works. Please note that the above offices are the only ones under the aegis of this Department who have civil servants on transfer lists to sections outside of Dublin. It should be noted that an officer may have applied to go to more than one location and also to more than one Department in the required location. Therefore the lists may not be an accurate indication of the real interest in a specific location.
