Vol. 532 No. 1

Written Answers. - Speech Therapy Service.

Phil Hogan

Question:

159 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will indicate the waiting list for speech therapy for children in the South Eastern Health Board area and in particular for each community care area; the waiting time of the delivery of this service in each area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6456/01]

The provision of health related services, including speech and language therapy, to people with physical and sensory disabilities is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the South Eastern Health Board, with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency.
