Vol. 536 No. 3

Priority Questions. - Livestock Numbers.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

67 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the number of sheep and cows in each of the four Dublin local authority areas; if grants are paid in respect of any of these; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11488/01]

Information regarding the number of sheep and cows in the geographical areas covered by the local authorities in Dublin is not broken down on a local authority basis.

I can confirm, however, that in County Dublin generally, a total of 25,664 ewes attracted payment under the 2000 ewe premium scheme while 2,938 cows attracted payment under the suckler cow premium scheme.

Acting Chairman

Does Deputy Dukes wish to ask a question? Question No. 68 is in the name of Deputy O'Shea.
