Vol. 554 No. 5
1576 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if the Government is on target to achieve its planned 6,100 local authority social housing in 2002. [16965/02]
I expect local authorities will this year complete or acquire some 5,500 housing units under the main local authority housing programme which will be the highest level of completions under this programme for more than 15 years. In addition to the main programme, house completions under the Ballymun and inner city regeneration programmes are expected to bring overall local authority housing output to some 6,100 units in 2002.
