Vol. 561 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

John McGuinness

Question:

407 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons for the delay in transferring a person (details supplied) in County Waterford from St. James's Hospital, Dublin, to the rehab unit at Dún Laoghaire where this person is to be given intensive physiotherapy; if this person's transfer will be expedited in view of the fact that this person had a stroke and requires physiotherapy urgently; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3636/03]

The provision of hospital services for people living in County Waterford is a matter, in the first instance, for the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.

Question No. 408 answered with Question No. 393.
