Vol. 561 No. 2

Written Answers. - Foreign Passports.

Paul McGrath

Question:

213 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if Ireland will recognise passports issued by the Palestinian Authority, which are recognised in many other EU States; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3818/03]

Ireland recognises passports issued by the Palestinian Authority as valid international travel documents and Palestinians regularly enter this country using such documents. Holders of Palestinian passports are, however, subject to visa requirements similar to those imposed on citizens of many Middle Eastern countries.
