Vol. 563 No. 1

Written Answers - Naturalisation Applications.

John Perry

Question:

491 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress made on an application for naturalisation by a person (details supplied) in County Louth; when it will be processed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7038/03]

An application for a certificate of naturalisation from the person in question was received in my Department on 17 February last. However, it was necessary to return this application to the applicant for clarification of some matters and the form has not been returned to my Department to date. When these matters have been clarified, the application will be placed in chronological order with other applications on hand and will be processed in due course.

John Perry

Question:

492 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a decision will be made on a citizenship application by a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7039/03]

The application of the person in question is being examined in the citizenship section of my Department at the present time and it is likely that this process should be concluded in the coming weeks. Both the applicant and the Deputy will be informed in writing of the outcome.
