Question:336 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance the position in relation to the purchase of a site for a new Garda station at Ballincollig. [19603/03]

Negotiations are ongoing with the Department of Defence in relation to the purchase of a site adjoining Murphy's Barracks in Ballincollig. Agreement has yet to be reached in relation to the asking price of the site. Purchase of the site will, of course, be subject to the availability of the necessary funding and the priority accorded it by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform.
