Vol. 571 No. 3

Written Answers. - Speech Therapy Service.

Olwyn Enright

Question:

220 Ms Enright asked the Minister for Health and Children if a speech and language therapist will be provided to assist four children with autism at St. Mary's primary school in Edenderry, County Offaly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21780/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services to persons with an intellectual disability and those with autism in the Offaly region lies with the Midland Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to her.
