Vol. 290 No. 6

Gnó an tSeanaid - Business of Seanad

I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:Senator Rónán Mullen - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the reported decision to make telemedicine remote consultation a permanent feature of termination of pregnancy services.Senator Robbie Gallagher - The need for the Minister for Health to outline the methodology used to evaluate staff in the phase 4 job evaluation scheme for HSE support staff grades completed earlier this year.Senator Martin Conway - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the proposed timeline for the establishment of a citizens' assembly on drug use.Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on the proposed primary care centre at Gorey, County Wexford and the HSE clinic building at Camolin, County. Wexford.Senator Seán Kyne - The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on Saolta plans to redevelop facilities at University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park Hospital. Senator Ollie Crowe - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the affordable housing schemes being progressed by Galway City Council and Galway County Council.Senator Marie Sherlock - The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the status of the review of income thresholds for housing adaptation grants.Senator Erin McGreehan - The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Marine to make a statement on the carbon sequestration of agricultural land. Senator Emer Currie - The need for the Minister for Transport to make a statement on the frequency and capacity of the M3 Parkway to docklands train service. Of the matters raised by the Senators suitable for discussion, I have selected Senators Rónán Mullen, Robbie Gallagher, Martin Conway and Malcolm Byrne and they will be taken now. I regret that I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Marie Sherlock on the ground that it is a repeat of a Commencement matter raised on 9 November 2022. I regret that I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Emer Currie on the ground that the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
