View answerAn application for a certificate of naturalisation by the person referred to by the Deputy was received in the Citizenship section of my Department on 26 November 2002. I considered the application under the provisions of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Acts 1956 and 1986 and decided not to grant a certificate of naturalisation in this instance. The basis for the refusal of this application has been set out in detail in a letter dated 20 May 2005 to the applicant's solicitors informing them of my decision.
