The issue raised is an operational matter for Bus Éireann in conjunction with the National Transport Authority. I have referred the Deputy's question to Bus Éireann for direct reply. Please inform my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.

242 Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the amount of money spent subsidising Dublin Bus in the greater Dublin area for the period from October 2010 to October 2011; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [35294/11]

The National Transport Authority (NTA) is responsible for the subvention of public service obligation services operated by contract with Dublin Bus. The subvention payments to Dublin Bus, which are funded by the exchequer, amounted to €78.8 million for the period from October 2010 to October 2011.
