68. Deputy Jim Daly asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection the grants available to voluntary organisations for acquiring new equipment in her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7245/16]
View answerThe Department of Social Protection provides a range of supports to community organisation through schemes such as community employment, Tús, the rural social scheme and the community services programme. These supports are structured in the form of direct and indirect provision of funding for staff to enable the delivery of services. The Department does not operate any scheme that provides direct funding for the provision of equipment to community organisations.
