View answerIssues relating to the provision of infrastructure at train stations on the heavy rail network outside of the Greater Dublin Area and the cities - such as the matter of a bridge at Carlow train station - are an operational matter for Iarnród Éireann which receives Exchequer funding via the National Transport Authority (NTA).
Noting the role of Iarnród Éireann and NTA in the matter of public transport infrastructure, I have referred your question to both bodies to provide information on the issue raised. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within 10 working days.
