Deputy Ged Nash asked the Minister for Education and Skills the way in which the proposed devices fund will be administered; if it is to be administered at a local level; if so, the additional staffing levels which will be put in place to do so; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs the Deputy will be aware, the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science recently secured Cabinet approval for a substantial package of supports for third level institutions and students. The distribution of the funds and the principles and eligibility criteria governing the additional supports for students including in relation to access to devices will be finalised over the coming days and weeks with key stakeholders.
