Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs when the processing of a passport application by a person (details supplied) will be finalised; the reason for the delay in processing this application despite the fact that all supporting documentation requested was submitted to the Passport Office; and if he will make a statement on the matter. With regard to the specific application about which the Deputy has enquired, the most recent supporting documents required were received in mid-February, and the application is being processed as normal. The Passport Service has contacted the applicant's parent directly to advise as to the status of the application.
