Deputy Bríd Smith asked the Minister for Health the number of educational psychologists who are currently employed by the Health Service Executive; if the HSE intends not to employ educational psychologists in primary care and CAMHS services moving forward, given that trainee educational psychologists were excluded from the new funding provided for professional psychology training introduced in Budget 2023; his plans, if any, to ensure the recruitment and retainment of suitably qualified educational psychologists; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
