View answerEmployees of the public health service are encompassed by the terms of the Public Service Sick Leave Scheme in respect of absence due to illness. In respect of cover in the case of illness or other statutory leave, this is a service based decision, and as such, I have asked the HSE to respond directly to the Deputy on the matter.
