The table below outlines the details of afforestation in each of the years 2014-2022. The Deputy will be aware that in the current forestry programme there was no differential in rates or premium periods between farmers and non-farmers. The figures supplied below and published on my Department’s website represent a self-declaration of farmer status.
The Deputy will be aware that in the recently announced Forestry Programme 2013-27 there are very attractive incentives for farmers in particular to plant trees.
