Deputy Paul Kehoe asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the contracts that have been granted without having to go to public tender; the companies that were granted these contracts and nature of the work involved; the qualifying criteria that was applied to any company awarded such a contract in 2020, 2021 and to date in 2022; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy will be aware Government Departments are required to include a note in relation to compliance with procurement rules in the Appropriation Accounts published annually, and to include details of any contracts with a value of over €25,000, which are awarded without a competitive tender. The link to the Annual Appropriation Accounts as published by the Comptroller and Auditor General is included below.

The 2022 figures will be published by the Comptroller and Auditor General following completion of their annual audit of the account in 2023.
In relation to contracts below €25,000, my Department ensures that there is an appropriate focus on good practice in purchasing. All procedures are in place to ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines.
I am advised that no contracts were awarded outside the standard procurement process during the time frame specified by the Deputy.
