View answerThe issue referred to in the question is an operational matter appropriate to Gas Networks Ireland (GNI), which is mandated under Section 8 of the Gas Act 1976, as amended, to operate, develop and maintain a national system for the supply of natural gas to all customers connected to the network.GNI is a commercial State Body under the aegis of the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage and I, as Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, therefore have no function in relation to this matter.
