Question:

71. The operation of the driver testing service is the statutory responsibility of the Road Safety Authority (RSA). I have referred this question to the Authority for reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a reply has not been received within 10 days.

However, I am informed by the RSA that where a motorist has a driving test appointment and their vehicle's NCT has expired within 3 months of the driving test date, if the candidate can bring evidence of an NCT test appointment then the test will proceed.

A referred reply was forwarded to the Deputy under Standing Order 51.
