180. Deputy Neasa Hourigan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Defence the percentage of social media videos posted on his Department's social media accounts or the social media accounts of public bodies and agencies that operate under the remit of his Department, that included closed captioning or subtitling and Irish sign language translations between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2022, inclusive. I wish to advise the Deputy that my Department does not currently subtitle posted videos, but Irish Sign Language interpreters are provided for campaign launches, and their livestreaming.

Examples of this include the Be Summer Ready and Be Winter Ready campaigns, of which there were two launches in total, during 2022.
