Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications the level of pollution caused in ground water by wastewater systems from single house treatment systems; the steps he is taking to eliminate this damage to the environment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have no function with regard to the policy or legislation in respect of single house wastewater treatment systems. This is a matter for the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
