View answerI am advised by the military authorities that in order for an individual to finalise their discharge, they must present in person to their home unit to complete the discharge procedure, in accordance with Defence Forces Regulations. This includes inter alia a discharge medical and settlement of any outstanding undertaking. The Defence Forces ordinarily do not discharge members in absentia.
