The Joint Committee on Education & Skills will tomorrow meet with Mr. Pauric Travers, Chairperson Designate of the Educational Research Centre.

The meeting will commence at 11.00 am in Committee Room 4 tomorrow, Wednesday, 7 September 2016.
Committee Chairperson, Fiona O’Loughlin TD, said “We warmly welcome this opportunity to engage with Mr. Travers and hear his overview of the work of the Educational Research Centre and also his plans for the future. At all levels of the educational system, the ERC undertake a wide body of work with the aim of improving the education provision across the State and so this meeting is of significant importance in the context of our remit.”
“Following the discussion tomorrow, a decision will be taken by the Minister for Education & Skills to confirm Mr. Travers as Chairperson of the Educational Research Centre. We look forward to contributing towards an open debate and assisting the Minister in his decision.”
