Future Funding of Domestic Water Services Committee to meet Department, Irish Water & CER officials

The Committee on the Future Funding of Domestic Water Services will hear from officials from the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government, representatives from Irish Water and officials from the Commission for Energy Regulation at its meeting tomorrow, Thursday 12 January 2017.

Chairman of the Committee Pádraig Ó Céidigh: “The Committee has already heard from Kevin Duffy, the Chairman of the Expert Commission on the funding of domestic public water services in Ireland who provided an outline presentation of the Expert Commission’s report to Members. Over the next three months the Committee will examine the issue of funding for water services. Tomorrow we will begin the process of analysing the report of the Expert Commission when we will meet with officials from the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government, representatives from Irish Water and officials from the Commission for Energy Regulation.”

The Joint Committee on the Future Funding of Domestic Water Services will meet in Committee Room 4, at 2pm on Thursday, 12 January 2017. Committee proceedings can be viewed live here.
