The Joint Committee on Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht will discuss the five-year strategy of the Heritage Council on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 1:30 p.m.
The strategy document Heritage at the Heart sets a series of goals to be achieved by 2022. These include an aim to place the celebration and commemoration of heritage at the core of communities across Ireland via the Local Authority Heritage Officer Network.
Scheduled witnesses include Heritage Council Chief Executive Michael Starrett and representatives from the Local Authority Heritage Officer Network.
