Culture, Heritage and Gaeltacht Committee to consider National Famine Commemoration Day Bill 2017

The Private Members Bill seeks to provide in legislation for the establishment of a National Famine Commemoration Day.

Scheduled witnesses include

• Colm Brophy TD, sponsor of the Bill;
• Michael Blanch, who has lobbied for a National Famine Commemoration Day, and
• Officials from the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
