10 Oct 2022, 16:15

The Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, 11 October, to discuss Implementing Housing For All with representatives of Dublin City Council and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

Ahead of the meeting at 3pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Steven Matthews said: “Housing For All is the Government’s plan to deliver social, affordable and cost rental homes up to 2030.

“The Committee looks forward to discussing with the representatives of the local authorities how these homes will be delivered in Dublin City and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown over the next decade.

“Particular areas of interest for the Committee include the projected delivery targets for social, affordable and cost rental housing, activation of vacant housing and derelict sites, urban regeneration and renewal, and the delivery of homes under the Part V process.”

The Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.

The meeting in Committee Room 3 can be viewed live on Oireachtas TV.

Committee proceedings can also be viewed on the Houses of the Oireachtas Smartphone App, available for Apple and Android devices.
