Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage to resume pre-legislative scrutiny of Planning and Development Bill 2022

The Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage will meet twice this week for pre-legislative scrutiny of the general scheme of the Planning and Development Bill 2022.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, 21 February, the Committee will meet at 3pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House with representatives from:

·       County and City Management Association (CCMA);

·       Association of Irish Local Government (AILG);

·       Local Authority Members Association (LAMA); and

·       Northern & Western Regional Assembly.

On Thursday, 23 February, the Committee will meet at 9.30am in Committee Room 1 with representatives from:

·       Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI); and

·       Irish Planning Institute (IPI).

The Joint Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage, chaired by Deputy Steven Matthews, has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.

The meetings in Committee Room 3 and Committee Room 1 can be viewed live on Oireachtas TV.
