GSOC is mandated to directly and independently investigate complaints against gardaí, including any matter where it appears that a garda may have committed an offence or behaved in a way that would justify disciplinary proceedings.

“Areas of interest to the Committee include the resourcing of GSOC and the timelines for the processing and completion of complaints by GSOC. Members look forward to discussing these and related matters with Judge MacCabe and his fellow commissioners, Ms Emily Logan and Mr Hugh Hume.”

The meeting in Committee Room 3 can be viewed live on Oireachtas TV.
