Vol. 356 No. 10

Written Answers. - Tullamore (Offaly) Library.

11.

asked the Minister for Finance the plans the Board of Works have for the old library building in O'Connor Square, Tullamore; and if he will outline the present position and plans for future development.

The old county library in Tullamore was purchased by the Commissioners of Public Works from Offaly County Council in 1981 for the purpose of erecting new Government offices on the site to accommodate the staffs of the various Government Departments in the area. Planning is at a preliminary stage. At present the requirements are being reviewed with the Departments concerned. At this stage it is not possible to say when a suitable scheme will be ready or what form that scheme will take.
