Vol. 356 No. 10

Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

538.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in giving a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick for a house which he has purchased in Tipperary having regard to the fact that he is a first-time occupier of this new house even though he is not its first owner.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named.

539.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in paying the final instalment of a mortgage subsidy due to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if he is aware that the application for payment was sent to his Department before Christmas 1984.

There has been no undue delay in my Department in dealing with this case. The claim form for the third instalment of the subsidy, in respect of the 12 months ending 31 December 1984 was received in my Department on 14 January 1985 and payment was made on 18 February 1985.
