Vol. 356 No. 10

Written Answers. - Disabled Person's Maintenance Allowance.

559.

asked the Minister for Health if he will review the case of a person (details supplied) in County Cork who is on the reduced rate of disabled person's maintenance allowance with a view to having her rate substantially increased due to her financial circumstances.

The Southern Health Board have indicated that the person in question is not eligible for an increased rate of disabled person's maintenance allowance on means grounds.

560.

asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid a disabled person's maintenance allowance; if he is aware that this man is in very poor health and financial circumstances; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person in question has not applied for a disabled person's maintenance allowance from the Southern Health Board. I have asked the board to send him an application form.
