262 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Defence the proposals, if any, he has received from the military authorities regarding the amalgamation of the 3rd and 30th infantry battalions; and if so, the progress, if any, being made on the matter. [10503/97]

As I indicated previously, I have not received any proposals to date from the military authorities regarding the amalgamation of the 3rd and 30th Infantry Battalions.
