I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:Senator Mary Seery Kearney - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to make a statement on the broadening of the definition of "sexual orientation" to "heterosexual and LGBTQ+" in the Equal Status Act.Senator Lynn Boylan - The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to introduce an amnesty for carbofuran and other banned pest-control poisons.Senator Martin Conway - The need for the Minister for Finance to make a statement on the disabled drivers and passenger tax relief scheme, in particular the current exemption thresholds for vehicle registration tax, VRT, and VAT. Senator Seán Kyne - The need for the Minister for Education to provide an update on the development of a new school and site for Ábalta Special School, Galway.Senator Maria Byrne - The need for the Minister for Finance to make a statement on the extension of the 9% tourism VAT rate.Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Education to increase the access to, and the number of, school national educational psychological service assessments.Senator Emer Currie - The need for the Minister for Transport to make a statement on the oversight mechanisms for the National Transport Authority. The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and I have selected Senators Mary Seery Kearney, Lynn Boylan, Martin Conway and Seán Kyne and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
