Vol. 368 No. 11

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 1, 8, 21 and 22. By agreement, Nos. 1, 8 and 21 shall be taken without debate. Also by agreement, at the conclusion of business today, the Dáil shall adjourn until 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 22 October 1986.

Is the Order of Business agreed to? Agreed.

Before we go into recess, in the absence of the Minister for Labour I want to ask the Taoiseach what proposals or legislation the Government have in mind for the introduction of ILO Convention 140, recommendation 148, providing for payment for educational leave for workers, if any consideration has been given or will be given to that within the context of the proposed revised industrial legislation.

I do not think that arises on the Order of Business.

In the context of the proposed legislation.

I am not aware that any such legislation was promised.
