Leinster House is open to visitors Monday to Friday by guided tour only.
When the Dáil and Seanad are sitting, your visit must be sponsored by a TD or Senator. On non-sitting days, you can book a guided tour with our event desk or simply walk up to the visitors’ entrance 15 minutes before the tour time.
Restricted tours due to restoration works on Georgian Leinster House
Due to the ongoing restoration works on Georgian Leinster House, tours during the month of August will be restricted, with certain parts of the Parliament building closed to the public.
There are two tours per day, commencing at 10.30 am and 2.30 pm. Tours take approximately 20 minutes.
During the restoration work, we are operating a strict NO BAGS policy.

All tours are free of charge
- Bring photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence.
- Arrive at the Kildare Street gate 15 minutes before the start of the tour.
- Notify us if you have any special requirements such as disability access.

Photography is not allowed in Leinster House.
Leinster House is on Kildare Street in Dublin 2, between the National Library and the National Museum of Archaeology. All visitors must enter through the visitors’ entrance on Kildare Street.
