Seanad Éireann debate -
Tuesday, 28 May 1991

Vol. 129 No. 4

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Norris that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to intervene as a matter of urgency to ensure that EC requirements are complied with by having an environmental impact assessment prepared before the commencement of site development work at the proposed interpretative centre at Mullaghmore, Burren, County Clare.

I also received notice from Senator Costello of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice to take appropriate measures to provide suitable facilities to ensure that the people of the north inner city are safeguarded from joyriding, drug dealing and other anti-social activities in their daily lives.

I also received notice from Senator Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to open a motor taxation office in Bray, County Wicklow.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Norris, Costello and Ross as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Norris' matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Costello and Ross may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
