Vol. 1 No. 11

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. - LAND INQUIRY.

LIAM MAC SIOGHAIRD:

To ask the Minister for Agriculture whether the proposed inquiry about land will include within its scope the division of the ranches, the increase in size of uneconomic holdings, and the provision of farms, where possible, for the landless?

The Minister for Agriculture is unavoidably absent through ill-health. The reply is:—"The terms of reference to the proposed Agricultural Commission are being considered and are not yet finally settled. It is intended that the reference should be wide enough to enable the Commission to deal with all such matters."
