Vol. 70 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Food Costs in County Homes.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state in respect of each county home (a) the cost of feeding an adult and (b) the cost of feeding a child inmate in the last year for which the figures are available.

There are no statistics compiled that would show the information the Deputy wants. The average weekly cost of inmates in each county home in respect of provisions and necessaries is set out in Appendix V, Returns for Local Taxation for the year 1935-36.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary say whether there is any information available for a later year than 1936?

No. Later information will not be available until July.
