Vol. 102 No. 4

Written Answer. - Acquired Wicklow Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state, in respect of each of the estates acquired by the Land Commission in County Wicklow, mainly or partly for subdivision and still unallotted, the following particulars: (a) the name and address of the former owner; (b) the area and valuation; (c) the area subdivided or taken over by the Forestry Division, and (b) the area still to be allotted.

There are objections in the way of supplying information regarding the location of parcels of land on hands of the Land Commission, but the following general information may serve the Deputy's purpose.

There are approximately 260 acres of land on hands in County Wicklow. This area is the residue of three estates which comprised 1,035 acres. An area of 519 acres thereof was divided among allottees and 257 acres were taken over by the Forestry Division.

If the Deputy is concerned as regards any particular estate and communicates with me, I will see what can be done.
